Lemon Cake (Recipe)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • Zest of 2 Lemons
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 ½ Cup Flour
  • 1 ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • ½ Cup Cream Cheese

For the Glaze

  • 1 ¾ Cups Icing Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Lemon Juice
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • Pinch of Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a Bowl and with a Electric Hand Mixer mix Butter, Sugar and Lemon Zest.
  2. Add the Eggs one by one and beat.
  3. Incorporate Flour, Baking Powder, Salt and beat.
  4. Add Cream Cheese and beat.
  5. Lead to a Mold with Wax Paper.
  6. Bake at 350°F or 180°C for 45-55 Minutes.
  7. For the Glaze in a Bowl, mix Powdered Sugar, Lemon Juice, Lemon Zest and Salt.
  8. Once the cake is cool add the Frosting and Enjoy.
