Lemon Cake (Recipe)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • zest of 2 lemons
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 ½ Cup Flour
  • 1 ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • ½ Cup Cream Cheese

For the Glaze

  • 1 ¾ Cups of Powdered Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Lemon Juice
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • Pinch of Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a Bowl and with an Electric Hand Mixer mix Butter, Sugar and Lemon Zest.
  2. Add the Eggs one by one and beat.
  3. Incorporate Flour, Baking Powder, Salt and whisk.
  4. Add Cream Cheese and whisk.
  5. Leads to a Mould with Wax Paper.
  6. Bake at 350°F or 180°C for 45-55 Minutes.
  7. For the Glaze in a bowl mix icing sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest and salt.
  8. Once the cake is cold add the Glaze and Enjoy.
